Want to build your own eco-house, or work in eco-construction? Then you need this lime-plaster coating technique! Come learn how to coat exterior walls with a beautiful natural and durable finish. It’s particullary adapted for the strawbale building technique developed by the GREB ecovillage.
This very popular workshop is back! This time, you’ll get to train on our new eco-cabin, a GREB strawbale mini-house. Audrée will show you all that she learn during the construction of her own house. She also has gained a lot of experience during training and partnerships with the greatest names in Québec. She organized a workshop at her house with Sylvie Plaire, and recently partnered with Gabriel Gauthier. This pedigree ensures you a qualified teacher! She already lead several workshops in eco-construction. Especially, led our last lime plaster workshop. You’ll find the video about this workshop below. You can see how a group of dedicated and motivated apprentices ended the course able, on their own, to apply a lime plaster on an exterior wall, for a beautiful and durable finish of ecological buildings.
Green construction is a rising domain! The popularity of eco-building is constantly increasing, as well as it’s market shares. If you want to take part into the adventure, be part of the solution, develop your skills, your passions or talents, then you need to attend! Not only will you learn from a skilled teacher, but you’ll be surrounded by like-minded and like-valued people, in a project dedicated to promote an ecological renewal.

Course Objective :
Being able to realize this step of the construction in an autonomous manner: preparing the jobsite and the structure to receive the plaster, mixing and applying the coating on the walls, knowing the colorations and finishings that are possible to add to the basic technique.
You’ll leave with a good theoretical knowledge, but more importantly, numerous hours of supervised practice to ensure you get the gestures well and work safely. As you’ll be in a relatively small group, you’ll be able to ask numerous questions and have your technique corrected, as well as practicing each step of the process.
Level required:
We welcome people with any experience, and we will help everybody make progress.

The teacher will be giving the course in french, and will be able to translate the difficult parts. However, if you need full time translation, thank you for noticing us. We cannot promise it, but if several students need it, we’ll arrange something.
