Enjoy the 30km of Terra Perma’s nature trails on cross-country skis and experience a winter wonderland while swishing through the landscape of the beautiful, protected 200 acre Forest Park. Look for tracks in the snow, see sparkling ice forms on rock ledges, hear the trees crack and last leaves of autumn rustling in the breeze. An ancient European mode of transport, cross-country skiing offers the best and most immediate access to forest wilderness in the cold months of the year.

You can also go off-trail to your hearts content – but please – bring a compass! Enjoy floating on top of fresh, deep snow like a big cat padding delicately through the forest landscape! Specially developed by Canada’s First Peoples to permit them to walk through deep snow without sinking into it, snowshoes allowed them to continue hunting throughout the winter.
