Earthworks are an essential part of working efficiently with the land!
Swales are level ditches constructed to capture and store storm water while irrigating crops and stopping erosion; hugelkultur mounds allow for maximum growth without need for watering and fertilizers; and terraces allow you to better work on sloped land. Come learn how to create these earthworks in the landscape both by hand and with heavy machinery, from shoveling to seeding and planting.
