Simple lime plaster coating, pigmented, hemp chips enhanced, 3D lime plaster, “fresco”, the jargon and the techniques will reveal all their secrets to you during this two day hands-on workshop. If you like eco-construction, and have artistic fondness, we highly and warmly recommend this creative artistic lime plaster course to you!!
While building her own house, Audrée wanted an interior finishing made with natural materials, that would ressemble her, that she could do herself and that would let her express her creativity. After a solid apprenticeship with Sylvie Plaire, she decorated each room of her house with a mix of different lime plaster techniques. She now happily shares her passion and her experience, and work in this field professionally.
This course belongs to a series of courses about the GREB construction technique. You can take it individually, but you will get the most out of it by following the whole curriculum.
Especially, we highly recommend that you follow a basic lime plaster course before attending. When coming with already the basics, you’ll be able to focus on the subtleties of the different creative techniques. Please then consider also registering to our lime plaster course:==> HERE https://terraperma.ca/en/courses/outdoor-lime-plaster-greb/
You will have a 25% discount on the total if you follow the three 2017 courses about the greb technique. Send us an email for details.
Course Objective:
The goal of this workshop is to give you an overview of the different artistic possibilities that lime plaster offers you as a protective and decorative coating.
A short theoretical lecture will introduce many creative techniques offered by this wonderfull natural material. The main section of the course will be dedicated to practicing the different techniques in real-life conditions. You will acquire the right skills and confidence in your ability to pursue the exploration of your creativity at home.
Course language:
The teacher will use french as basic language, but will be able to translate for you the difficult parts. Please notify us if you need full time translation. We cannot promise it depending on the budget, but we’ll arrange something if many english-only students register.
Required level:
The teacher will adapt the complicatedness to the level of the students. However, as we expect people to come here to deepen their practice, we will not be able to slow down the group to compensate for those who would come with no experience at all. Because of this, we recommend that you already come with some experience. Thank you for your understanding, and please consider taking the basic lime plaster course if you’re a beginner. It takes place a week before, and will arm you well for this course.
You will have a 25% discount on the total if you follow the three 2017 courses about the greb technique. Send us an email for details.
