The Forest Park is the heart of Terra Perma.
“For every acre sold, Terra Perma promises to give one acre to the park.”
Whether you are a permanent resident, an eco-entrepreneur or just visiting for a day, the sustainable enjoyment of the protected park will be central to your experience of Terra Perma. The Forest Park provides vast natural corridors through the territory for people as well as wildlife populations. Throughout the year, the private park’s trails lead to over 1000 acres of land, from the Crown lands to the East, North and South of Terra Perma.
Originally consisting of 150 acres, including the shores of Lac Besançon, the area of protected ponds, mountain peaks, slopes and streams of the Forest Park are gradually growing, thanks to the firm, long-term commitment of the Terra Perma Foundation.
Currently, the forest park is managed by Terra Perma together with the Terra Perma Foundation, whose role it is to oversee conservation and recreation within the territory. Over time, these responsibilities will be transferred fully to the Park Management department of the Terra Perma Foundation . This branch of the foundation will be responsible for the day to day operations of the forest park and ensuring that it is managed and expanded in line with Terra Perma’s vision of sustainable development. The park aims to continuously expand and improve the recreational opportunities of its members without losing sight of its mission of conservation.
Among its other activities, the Park’s department is working with its partners to establish a Code of Conduct for the Forest Park as well as guidelines for visitors, residents and partners alike. As demand for access to the park increases, it will plan and implement improvements to park infrastructure to accommodate human traffic, while reducing damage to ecologically sensitive areas. Residents and annual members will be invited to participate in the planning and implementation of the forest park’s future goals and projects.
